ADD KEY NUMBERS & CYLINDERS No Audio
Go to Key Systems.
Look up the Key System to add your key numbers and cylinders.
Like visualizing a flow chart, you first add your Master Keys starting with the Top Master Key and working your way down. In this system, we will select the "H" keyway for the TMK, and all keys will be serialized.
CONTINUE
Only the Key Number is actually required, but if you can, we recommend that you also enter the Bitting and the Level at this time.
CONTINUE
When entering Master Keys, assign a level of 2 or greater. Level 1 is only for Change Keys
CONTINUE
When adding Master Keys, you can click the Create Keys Only button, so Cylinder/Cores are not added for these. However, I decided to add Cylinder/Cores for the Master Keys as well, just in case I need to assign a Cylinder/Core to a door that's keyed just to master keys.
CONTINUE
We start building this System by looking up the A Grand Master that we just added. This becomes the Parent Key.
CONTINUE
The Grand Master A is the Parent Key, and we've selected keyway C for the rest of the keys to be added.
CONTINUE
We now have entered the Master Key AA at Level 2, under the A Grand Master (Parent). You can enter multiple keys at the same level, so you can enter any other MKs such as AB, AC, AD, etc.. For this example, we will only add the AA.
CONTINUE
Now, we'll look up the AA master key, so that it's the Parent Key.
CONTINUE
I will now enter Change Keys under the master key AA.
By setting up these parent-child relationships for your keys, the program automatically adds the Operating Keys to the Cylinder/Core records.
CONTINUE
The Keys Under This Master screen, displays all keys that have already been added.
This screen lets you know what you've already entered, so you can continue where you left off.
Let's check our work!
Master Keys added!
The Key Numbers are added!
And, the Cylinder/Cores! Let's jump to the records.
The AA1 cylinder/core record.
Success!
