The sample data in the file is to
show you the necessary
formatting required to properly
load your key system records.
Breakdown of the Key Core Loader File
This
file will import both your key numbers
and their corresponding cylinder/cores.
In this example, we did not add cylinder
names for the corresponding master keys in
column A. However, there is no reason that
you can't add those cylinder records as well if
you need to create them.

Adding Cylinder
names here for
your Master Keys
is optional.
This data will create both the
Key Number records AA1, AA2,
and AA3, and their
corresponding Cylinder/Cores
that are also operated by the
Master Keys GGM, A, and AA.

Note: To make the task easier,
you can simply paste your
Key Numbers into both
column A and column E, and
you will get a corresponding
cylinder/core for every key
number. Don't forget to add
the Cylinder Section (keyway)
and any operating keys as
required.
In this example, I'm adding a
cross-keyed cylinder/core without
an assigned change key (Key
Number). This cylinder is operated
by multiple change keys plus the
master keys.
Breakdown of the Key Core Loader File
Here, I'm adding a second 'AA1' cylinder/core
with the modified name AA1(ENG). The ENG
selective master has been added as an
operating key. The AA1 key number will be
assigned as the change key, but the AA1 key
number will not get duplicated in SiteMaster.

Important:
Any Key Number that
you add to the Operating Keys
column, must also be added to
the Key Numbers column.

Delete the sample data
in this file before you
add your data.
You use the Load
Allegion Registered
Key System feature to
import your own Key
System.
Look up and select the
KeyCoreLoader file that
you have prepared.
Decide if you want to serialize your keys.
With a large system it's best to decide now,
or you will need to manually change the
status later one key at a time.
For more information, see the Locksmith
Setup Screen instructions in the built-in Help
Manual.
If you created cut keys with equal quantities,
such as two keys each, for example, you can
enter that quantity. Otherwise, if you have
quantities that vary, leave the quantity set to
zero. You can create the other quantities later.
Select the correct Manufacturer's
System type for the import. If you
don't know then find out.
My system type is the
Schlage Everest 29 S
Family 6 Pin.
if this is your first import, you need to provide
a name for the new Key System that gets
loaded. Facility version users should be
careful to spell the name correctly, because
you cannot edit the name later.
If you've already added a Key System
under this Manufacturer's System, select
it by using the drop-down button.
Always make sure that when you select
an existing system or add a new system,
that the file to import matches your
selection. For example, if the file is to
expand your existing system, then you
don't want to add a new Key System for
that.
