We recommend that you edit
the User Name and Password
for ADMIN.
DO NOT FORGET THIS
INFORMATION!
In this example, I'm adding
Ken as an Administrator.
Note: Only the ADMIN
(super administrator) can
add additional users.
When users are logged
into SiteMaster, these
features are turned on.
This lets you notify users
to log out, and/or you can
force them to log out.
Use the Lock User feature
to lock the user's account.
I'm selecting this option,
so this user is not required
to change his password
when he logs in.
These two features are
also available on the
Datasets Screen.
Using the Binoculars button to add a
Dataset(s), this feature simply grants
the user access to a specified
dataset(s).
Use this feature to assign the user
administrator rights to a dataset(s). You
can do this for both administrator users
and non-administrator users. For
example, you have a user who can
assign rights to other users in the User
Program, but you don't want that user
to access the Administration Program.
Use the Binoculars
button to add a Dataset to
the list. or use the Clear
Record button to remove
a Dataset.
The user is now an
Administrator of the
SM20040 dataset.
This feature assigns
the dataset that will
open by default
when Ken logs into
the User Program.
The Security Settings list, displays the
access rights for a user after they have
been set. These settings apply to the
Administration Program.
Setting user rights in the Users
Admin Screen, controls the
rights to these four screens.
After saving the user's
information, I have the option to
set any additional rights to
screens and objects, if required.
Begin Setting User Rights
The background color of screens and
objects change to reflect the
assigned right.
Blue = Full Access
Yellow = View Only
Red = Invisible
Right-click on the
screen's background
color to change the
setting.
I'll select Invisible.
Now, I'll end setting
user rights.
To apply user rights for other screens and/or
objects, simply navigate to those screens and/or
objects, right-click the screen's background or
inside a field, for example, and make your
selection.
When you're done, exit those screens and return
to the Users Admin Screen. Click, End Setting
User Rights to store the settings.
Even though Ken is an
Administrator, he no
longer has access to
the Users Admin
Screen.
Now, I'll log out and
log back in as Ken.
The Users Admin
Screen is invisible
when Ken logs in.
For setting up your Users' rights in the User
Program, log into the User Program and go
to the pull-down Setup Menu and select the
User item.
